Karen brings more than 30 years of experience in dentistry, 20 of those years right here with Dr Pateras at Today’s Dentistry. Beginning her career as a dental assistant, Karen discovered a passion for helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their dental care. Today, she oversees all aspects of the practice while focusing on creating a welcoming environment where every patient receives exceptional care and attention.
As the go-to resource for financial and treatment questions, Karen takes pride in helping patients fully understand their care and feel confident about achieving their healthiest, most beautiful smile. Her warm personality, dedication, sense of humor and years of experience make her an invaluable part of the Today’s Dentistry team.
Outside the office, Karen loves living on the beautiful south shore of Oneida Lake and always enjoys being near the water. She is a Buffalo Bills fan and looks forward to football season every year. Karen and her family are passionate animal lovers and currently share their home with their cat, George, and their dog, Zola.

Today’s Dentistry is proud to have Megan as one of our dedicated registered dental hygienists. Megan has been helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles since 2007. She began her career as a dental assistant before continuing her education and working her way through hygiene school to become a registered dental hygienist.
Since joining the team in 2014, Megan has been committed to providing comfortable, judgment-free care while helping patients feel confident in both their oral and overall health. She believes in creating a calm and welcoming experience through clear communication, compassionate care, and strong patient relationships. Megan values being part of the supportive team at Today’s Dentistry and takes great pride in the care we provide together.
Outside of the office, Megan is a busy mom of two who enjoys staying active with sports, spending time outdoors, and exploring new places with her family.
You’ll often find Alyssa welcoming patients with a warm smile and helping guide them through every step of their visit at Today’s Dentistry. As a Certified Dental Assistant, she is dedicated to making each patient’s experience as smooth and comfortable as possible while helping them achieve their healthiest, most confident smile. Alyssa enjoys working alongside the team each day and values the relationships she builds with patients. Seeing patients leave happy after a positive visit is one of the most rewarding parts of her job.
Outside of the office, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her family and their two fur babies. She loves road trips, hiking, and exploring beautiful scenery — especially during the fall season.

With 7 years of experience as both a dental assistant and front office coordinator, Jade brings a well-rounded understanding of patient care and office operations to our team. She has been part of Today’s Dentistry for the past 2 years and is known for her dedication to helping patients have a positive experience from start to finish.
Jade is one of our go-to’s for insurance questions, scheduling needs, and helping patients navigate their appointments with ease. Her knowledge and willingness to help make her an invaluable part of our practice team.
Outside of the office, Jade is a busy mom of three who stays actively involved in her children’s sports and activities. Whether it’s baseball, football, or cheerleading, you’ll often find her cheering and coaching from the sidelines and supporting her family every step of the way.
